About This Site
Online Documents
PDF
Portable Document Format (PDF) files may be read using Adobe Acrobat Reader. This program exists for various platforms and can be downloaded for free from Adobe.

You can configure your web browser to launch Acrobat Reader when a PDF file is visited or downloaded. Depending on the platform, browser, and settings, the PDF file will be displayed either within the browser window (using a plugin) or in a separate window (using a helper application). The reader also provides an option to print the file.
(The PDF files on the site should be transmitted in binary mode.)
PostScript
PostScript files can be downloaded and viewed online using a PostScript-compatible viewer such as Ghostview (for Unix), GS view (for Windows and OS/2), and Mac GS Viewer (for Macintosh). See the Ghostscript home page. PostScript files can be sent to PostScript-compatible printers. See the Adobe site for information about PostScript printing.
(The PostScript files on this site should be transmitted in ASCII text mode.)
Web Browsers

This site requires a web browser that supports tables. Cascading style sheets are used, but are not necessary to view or navigate the site. Testing was primarily done using Netscape Navigator 4 and Microsoft Internet Explorer 4. Access to a mail client is needed for e-mail links to work.
Site Production
This web site is cloned from the ICSE 2001 web site designed by Ken Wong, University of Alberta. The web pages were assembled using Adobe GoLive 4.
